The goal of this project is to give Lego fans a new engaging experience and therefore attract them to a new product – gaming magazine. The AR-application is based on the concept of a multi-level labyrinth game. While turning the pages, the reader gets to new AR-locations, precisely repeating the illustrations in the magazine. The reader points the phone or tablet to the first spread, and is greeted by an animated 3D character from LEGO NINJAGO. This hero must pass through all the obstacles of the labyrinth, using various controls (points of displacement, touch, arrow direction or swipes). The game ends with the final animated scene: the battle with the boss - the escape of the villain - the hero's victory. Thus, by combining printed edition with AR-technology, we have created unique product that gives fans of LEGO a fascinating user experience.
